ARTIST STATEMENT

Contemporary painter making art under the name Mio. My motives often focus on actual topics and sometimes issues in our society. However, thanks to a strong personal stylization they leave a room for viewers' own interpretation. Often with a small dose of sarcasm.Even though I paint combining the styles of street art, pop-art and even cartoon, my paintings are created based on many years of continuous studying anatomy and shapes. Thanks to it, I have created my own visual style and linework and have been able to sketch my motives from imagination.

Exhibitions

• 01/06/2010 – 18/06/2021 - My paintings have been shown at more than solo and collective 15 exhibitions during the last 4 years. They ranged from private exhibitions in the Prague centre, to places and galleries like Club Mecca or Topičův Salon.
