ARTIST STATEMENT

Tiago Sousa was born in Porto in 1985. He's a painter, a printmaker, a teacher, a researcher and Doctorate in Artistic Education at Faculdade de Belas Artes - University of Porto. The interests of his work scrolls through the knowledge of what's called to be an artist and an art teacher. HIs works relate the art history praxis and knowledge, combined with a naturalistic approach in his own artistic and pedagogical practice. He is also a musician and a skateboarder.
